Connecting Earth and Innovation
Established in 2006, Papillon Bleu is at the forefront of revolutionising textiles with regenerative agriculture, crafting climate-positive fabrics and low-impact clothing that make a real difference.

We grow our fabrics through a fully traceable, regenerative organic cotton program in Southern India, collaborating directly with farmers to ensure fair trading practices through partnerships with Raddis Cotton® and GVK Society. Our approach flips the script on environmental degradation, drawing down COâ‚‚, boosting biodiversity, and dramatically reducing water consumption with rain-fed cultivation.

But we don’t stop there. With our R&D pilot, we’re igniting a hemp renaissance in the UK and re-establishing a bio-regional textile chain to produce Morpho. This means unique yarns and woven fabrics made from locally grown hemp blended with recycled post-consumer cashmere, pushing the boundaries of what textiles can be.

Join us as we redefine the future of fabrics—one sustainable thread at a time.

Our
Mission
Simple: beautiful things made the way nature intended. We believe in creating textiles that honour the earth and uplift the people behind them. From natural indigo blues to fully traceable value chains, our fabrics are more than cloth—they’re the story of regenerative farming, soil restoration, and communities supported. We’re here to craft a world where every thread benefits the land, enriches lives, and brings harmony back to nature.
01
Reconnecting with Nature
We believe in restoring our relationship with the earth by embracing ancient natural farming practices that breathe life back into the land. Our commitment to regenerative organic agriculture enriches the soil and nurtures future generations.
02
Regenerate, Replenish
We’re on a mission to transform non-organic lands into thriving regenerative ecosystems. Enhancing healthy soil and promoting above- and below-ground biodiversity isn’t just good for now; it’s our gift to the future.
03
Innovative Partnerships
Collaboration powers change. We align with like-minded partners who respect both people and planet, forging bold solutions that challenge the status quo and drive impact at every level.
04
Water Matters
Water is life, and we treat it a the precious resource it is. Through rain-fed cultivation, we drastically reduce our water footprint. Every drop counts and our processes ensure that we grow with nature, not against it.
05
Transparent from Farm to Fibre
Traceability is core to our process. We ensure fair treatment and safe conditions for every worker and farmer. Each fabric comes with a clear origin—free from harmful chemicals—so you know exactly who and what you're supporting.
06
Carbon & Chemicals
We eliminate harmful chemicals and pesticides, draw down atmospheric carbon, and enrich the soil with every crop—reducing toxic run-off and building healthier ecosystems from the ground up.
07
Celebrating Circularity
Every scrap has value. Our circular model turns waste into opportunity—upcycling post-consumer and industrial materials into plastic-free textiles and packaging that clean up the industry and push boundaries.
08
Responsible and Impact-Driven
Our Sustainability Roadmap is our proof. We measure, adapt, and share our progress transparently as we push for a restorative future in textiles. We’re dedicated to making a bold, measurable difference with every step.

Vanessa Barker - Founder, Innovator & Activist
“I am dedicated to seeing real change happen in our industry. It is necessary, and it needs to happen now—change that makes a difference to people’s health and livelihoods beyond mere survival, and to pioneer a revival of depleted soils and degenerated land for a better future for all. We want to be a force and a voice for nature, to protect our diversity of species and the natural world.”

Where did it all begin—
this fabric, natural notion thing?
Then creeping in:
the concept of a petrol chemical as sin,
and us all trapped within
an oil-stained bubble. Built by man.
Staining the hands of many
and the hearts of more.
Could the connection between abuse and poverty—
and power on power—be met?
Do we choose to forget?
The ripple effect.
Do we care?
Or is it that we have
too much?
We forget
how to share.
Because all roads
lead to an answer—
if we choose that journey.
To regenerate each other first,
and then our land.
Understand:
That life is generous,
and can be built from
the soil up,
writhing with
worms and fertility.
Mother Earth.
Gaia.
Seeds planted.
Fed only by rain.
Farmed by farmers with a name.
For me—and my small part—
I bring my heart
to the beauty of cloth
that, in the making,
provides some smile of a solution.
A path. To evolve beyond
petrochemical pollution.
